What is guidance
refers to a series fo documents designed as a means of directing people within decontamination, to the correct processes, testing regimes, designations, stipulations and requirements
What is legislation
your legal obligation to operate any form of decontamination facility
in line with any official guidance provided
people are actively prosecuted for non compliance
What is standards
series of highly technical documents that govern the way in which our facilities and equipments should be operated, the standard that it should be produced to hand amongst other things, how the equipment processes are tested and verified
What are the guidance documents that we work to currently
SHTM 2010 - sterilisation
SHTM 2030 - for cleaning and disinfection
What does the guidance tell us
it identifies the equipment that we should be using to achieve any of the required steps in the process and any considerations that are involved with the operation and successful use of it as well
What do the standards tell us
set of thecnical documents that informs individuals of how we carry out certain tasks
