Ceremony was very quick after Bosworth in order to reinforce Henrys God given right to be King

- Declared that Henry was the King
- Henry used Parliament in order to punish his opponents at Bosworth by declaring that Henry was king the day before the Battle, making Richard and his supporters Usurpers

What was the Titulus Regius?
It was rule that declared the Marriage between Edward IV and Elizabeth Woodville illegitimate. Henry overturned it because he was going to marry their daughter and would therefore mean his legitimacy couldn’t be challenged
What was the Act of Resumption?
Meant that all crown lands given away since 1455 were to be given back to the crown.
Why was the act of resumption important?
Meant that the crown has more land, so more wealth from taxes. It meant that the Nobilitys land was reduced so we’re less powerful. This cemented Henrys Rule as it meant he was less vulnerable to a rebellion
