Q

What is distillation

A

There are two types of distillation:

  1. simple distillation- is used to separate a solute and solvent in a situation
  2. Fractional Distillation- seperation of two miscible liquid due to difference boiling points

Q

What is seperatory funnel?

A

This is used to seperate two immiscible liquids.

Ex. the seperation of foil and water. The oil will always rise up because it is less dense, even if it is poured before the water
