There are different numbers of members in each state and territory and they have a three year term.
Describe the shape of the HOR?
A āUā shape with the executive government on one side, the Opposition on the other and independents and minor parties in the curve.
Role of the HOR?
- Determines the government.
- Proposes, debates and votes on bills and amendments.
- Represents interests of people in their electorates.
- Scrutinises executive government.
