Is either the source or the destination of a message that’s being transmitted over the network.

Is a set of rules that’s implemented in software and hardware of each device that’s connected to the network. It basically tells these devices how to go about doing there business.

Means that once company or small group of companies control all use of the technology.

Means that the use of technology is available and is free to the public.
