Amoxicillin 1g tds for 7 days (PO/IV) Doxycycline 200mg then 100mg od
In an acute exacerbation of COPD, what antibiotics should be used?
1st line amoxicillin 500mg 2nd line doxycycline 200mg then 100mg daily for 5 days
In severe community acquired pneumonia, what antibiotics should be used?
Co-amoxiclav IV & clarithromycin IV or doxycycline Levofloxacin if penicillin allergic Step down to doxycycline in all severe CAP

IV amoxicillin & metronidazole & gentamicin If penicillin allergic - IV vancomycin & metronidazole & gentamicin
