What are hormones?

Transported to target organs by the bloodstream

Describe the major differences between hormones and the nervous system?
Hormones use chemicals ( signals ) where as the nervous system uses electrical impulses
Responses that are due to hormones more slowly ( and longer)
Nerves act on a precise area while hormones travel all over the body ( in the bloodstream ) and can affect more than one area at once
Describe the menstrual cycle?
Takes 28 days with ovulation about 14 days into the cycle
Lining of the womb provides food a protection for developing embryos
If egg is not fertilised lining of womb and dead egg is shed from body
