Endocrine: Produce hormones
Release hormones into surrounding tissue fluid
Exocrine: Produce non-hormonal substances
Release secretions through ducts eg. sweat glands, saliva glands

Examples of Hydrophilic hormones and Lipophilic hormones

Hydrophilic: Proteins (Anterior pituitary: FSH, LH, TSH. Posterior pituitary: ADH, Oxytocin. Pancreas: Insulin, Glucagon. Gonad: Inhibin) and Amines (E, NE)
Lipophilic: Steroids (Testosterone, Progesterone, Oestrogen), Amines (T3 and T4)
