War endings victory
When one side in an armed conflict is either defeated or eliminated, or otherwise succumbs through capitulation, surrender or similar public announcement
War endings ceasefire
Agreement between all of the main actors in a conflict that terminates military operations. In contrast to peace agreements, ceasefires do not deal witht he incompatibility but refer to a mutual agreed end to hostilities.
War endings peace agreement
Agreement concerned with the resolution of the incompatibility signed and/or publicly accepted by all, or the main, actors in a conflict. The agreement should address all, or the central issues of contention
Conflict causes and war endings
When it comes to structural causes victory and other outcomes can sometimes fix this, ceasefire doesn’t and a peace agreement does.
When it comes to proximate causes all war endins fix this.
War endings during Cold War period
Victory predominant type of conflict termination, after it has since become the least common category.
War endings post Cold War period
Victories have become increasingly rare. Visible increase in peace agreements and ceasefires as well as other outcomes
