A

When one side in an armed conflict is either defeated or eliminated, or otherwise succumbs through capitulation, surrender or similar public announcement

War endings ceasefire

A

Agreement between all of the main actors in a conflict that terminates military operations. In contrast to peace agreements, ceasefires do not deal witht he incompatibility but refer to a mutual agreed end to hostilities.

A

Agreement concerned with the resolution of the incompatibility signed and/or publicly accepted by all, or the main, actors in a conflict. The agreement should address all, or the central issues of contention
