Where is the frog?
The triangle area on the underside of the hoof
Where are the bars?
Either side of the frog, where there is an indent in the sole
Where is the sole?
The large space on the underside of the hoof
Where is the white line?
In between the wall and the sole on the underside of the hoof
Where is the coronary band?
Between the skin and hoof, where the hoof grows from
Where is the toe?
The front tip of the hoof wall
Where/what is the periople?
A thin waxy layer that covers the outer surface of the hoof wall, mostly located by the coronary band
Where is the heel bulb?
Soft tissue on the back side of the hoof
Where is the quarter?
On the sides of the hoof wall (narrowest part)
Where is the heel?
The back of the hoof wall
Where is the periople heel?
Waxy area at the heel of the hoof
