Where is the crest (canine)?
The base of the skull
Where is the stop?
Between the skull and nasal bone, near the eyes
Where are the flews?
The upper lip
Where is the brisket?
The ribcage/sternum
Where is the loin?
Between the ribs and pelvis
Where is the croup?
Between the loins and tailhead
Where is the hock?
On the hind legs, below the stifle (act as the ankle)
Where is the stifle?
On the hind legs above the hocks (act as the knee)
Where is the poll?
The base of the skull (prominent bone)
Where is the nuchal crest (equine)?
Runs down the dorsal area of the neck
Where is the cannon?
Below the knee/hock on both the fore and hind limbs
Where is the gaskin?
Large muscle area between the stifle and the hock on the hind legs
Where is the fetlock?
The joint between the cannon bone and the pastern on both the front and hind limbs
Where is the pastern?
Between the fetlock and the top of the hoof on both the front and hind limbs
Where is the coronet?
The top of the hoof, where it meets the skin
