What is a master fader?
Controls master volume, should be at zero and use gain for everything else
What are 4 of the differences between balanced and unbalanced cables?
Balanced:
Microphones, mixers, low impedance, uses up to 3 conductors
Unbalanced:
High impedance, Max 25 ft, 2 conductors, bass and electric guitar

Explain the steps in setting up a microphone on a mixer and getting an appropriate level.
Connect mic with mixer with an XLR chord, connect speakers with monitors, then turn the mixer on first, then speakers, then adjust gain, then turn up master fader, unmute channel, adjust volume with fader
