Q

importance of homeostasis ( 3 factors )

A

1) ENZYMES- control biochemical reactions within cells/ channel proteins- sensitive changes PH/ TEMP.
2) changes to water pt of blood and tissue fluid cause cells shrink expand- osmosis cells unable function normally. maintenance content blood glucose conc essential ensuring constant water pt. constant blood glucose conc = reliable source glucose for respiration

Q

How type II diabetes can be controlled

A

regulating intake of carbohydrates match to amount exercise taken. Supplemented

  • injections insulin
