An approach that breaks complex phenomena into more simple components allowing for a simpler level of explanation

State the definition of Biological reductionism
A
A reduction of behaviour to a physical level and explain it in terms of neurons, neurotransmitters, hormones, brain structure etc…

State the definition of Environmental reductionism ( stimulus-response)
A
- suggests all behaviour can be explained in terms of simple stimulus-response links
e.g mother is likely to provide food which is reinforcing (reduces discomfort)
