Qualifications for the Candidates for Confirmation?
~ baptized Catholic
~ reached the age of reason (7-18)
> children may only if in danger of death/is a special case
> adults receive Baptism, Confirmation and the Eucharist at the same time or can be confirmed anytime after Baptism

Preparation for Confirmation?
- four basic pillars of faith

~ prayer - understanding of the HS’s manifestations and gifts
- mature participation to the life and mission of the Church
Confession before Confirmation?
- yes, it is needed
- candidates must be in state of grace; therefore Confession is received first
Can Confirmation be received more than once?
- no
- imprints an indelible character on our soul
- cannot be erased or repeated
- sponsor
- candidate must be accompanied by one (or more)
- preferably of candidate’s Baptism

Godparents’ missions?
- presenting godchildren to the Bishop during Confirmation

- marks a new stage in the person’s life
- willingly embrace and love one’s baptismal commitment
