CD4 cell count: HIV -ve if >600. 350 start treatments
HIV viral load: quantify HIV RNA
ELISA: anitbody or antigen
Immunoassay: finger prick or mouth swab. Point of care

What are symptoms of HIV?
A
Flu-like, macropapular rash.
Once CD4 at 200, get constitutional symptoms, opportunistic infections, and death

A
PCP, crytococcosis, toxoplasmosis, CMV
