Why doesn’t HIV carry RdRp with its genome?
Doesn’t need to! It hijacks the host machinery (after integration into host chromosomes) for transcription and translation

How does HIV present clinically?
Flu-like symptoms for 4-6 weeks (muscle aches, fever, coughing, being gross, etc)

Lots of anti-virals forever :( $$$ (HARRT therapy)
When do you go from having HIV to AIDS?
When your CD4 levels drop below 200
What virus family does HIV come from?
Retroviridae
Where does HIV bud from?
Plasma membrane
