Which two country had a naval race, and how did it start the war?
Britain and Germany, it created tension between the two countries
What does the Bosnia Crisis led to?
-Rise in Serbian nationalism
-humiliation of Russia and their rapid rearmament
-Germany offered a blank cheque to Austria over the foreign policy.
Explain the strategy that France used against Germany in the Trench warfare?
Attrition, is to wear down the enemy.
What do you call the area above the trench and why is it dangerous?
no-mans land, there are no cover and enemies machine gun could easily stop the attack, also there are barbed wire to defend.
What law was passed to help winning the war and what does it do?
The defense of the realm act, it limits the civil right of people.
When and Why did USA joined the war?
The USA joined the war in 1917, they joined the war because Germany sink their ship with U-boats, especially the Lusitania. Also because of the Zimmerman telegram.
Why did Germany surrender?
The failure of the spring offence, a massive attack on Britain and France before the USA soldiers arrived at the front, The British naval blockage stopped food and supplies getting into Germany and it caused starvation in Germany. The German navy refused to attack, there were revolts in Germany and led to Kaiser Wilhelm abdicating.
