Why did Nazis became popular suddenly?
The great depression led to the failure of the German government and a rise in support of extremist parties. Hitler was charismatic speaker and he attracted many people, His idea was to scrap the hated treaty of Versailles and to make Germany great again, also because of the excellent Nazi propaganda.
Who are the SAs?
The SA were a gang of former soldiers mostly loyal to Hitler, they would beat up political opponents.
Why are the communist party banned?
The Nazi party blame the communist party for the Reichstag fire in February 1933.
What did Hitler do to consolidate his power?
opposition political parties and trade unions were banned

What is a terror state?
The Nazi sent people to concentration camps that were ran by the SS, and secret police called the Gestapo would spy on people.
Why did Hitler purged the SA?
SA had ideas that were left-wing, Ernst Rohm was a threat to Hitler’s power, Army leaders were angry because Rohm wanted to take over control and proposed an ultimatum to Hitler, his personal life was embarrassing to the Nazis.
