When Iraq began to build up forces to invade Saudi Arabia, the King agreed to allow foreign troops to be deployed in his country, because Saddam’s army outnumbered Saudi Arabia’s forces. The UN resolution took a step in, and defended Saudi Arabia, giving a deadline warning to withdraw, and sending more troops within the Arabian peninsula. Saddam did not take the warning seriously.

The war began. The coalition forces, attacking Iraq, were two thirds American and the rest were from Arabian states. They first launched sorties then Saddam involved Israel and launched Scud missiles. Once the Iraqi air force was neutralized, the USA patrolled the Gulf. The coalition leader managed to hit the Iraqi from both sides, as they fell back in retreat.
