Q

What was the plum pudding model?

A

It was s model created by Thompson who discovered electrons. He thought that the number of electrons = number of protons.

Q

What was the difference between the nuclear model and the plum pudding model?

A

The nuclear model (discovered by Ruthford) showed that atoms had a positive charged nucleus and negatively charged electrons that surrounded the nucleus

Q

Why did a few alpha particles bounce back from the gold foil?

A

This showed that the mass of an atom is found in the nucleus

Q

Why did most of the alpha particles went straight through the gold foil, without any deflection?

A

This shows that the atoms are mostly spread out

Q

Why did some alpha particles slightly deflect by the gold foil?

A

This shows that the nucleus of an atom is positively as is the alpha particles

Q

What did Bohr discover?
