Person forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution, or natural disaster.

Destruction or slaughter on a mass scale.
Concentration Camp
A place were large numbers of people are deliberately imprisoned in a small area.

A title given to the principal administrator of some organization.
Security Council
Primary instrument for establishing and maintaining international peace.
General Assembly
World’s forum for discussing matters affecting world peace and security.
Scapegoat
Blaming someone who was not even in the situation
Persecuted
Ill-treatment of someone because of their race or religion.
Anti-semitic
Prejudice against Jews as an ethnic, religious, or racial group.
Israel
Country between Jordan and the Mediterranean Sea.
Palestine
It is the from the kingdoms of Israel and Judah. It was controlled by the Egyptian, Assyrian, Persian, and Roman empires. Then by the Arabs.
West Bank
Land on the west bank of the Jordan River, formerly in the hands of Jordan, but captured by Israel in the Six-Day Way of 1967.
Partition
Action or state of dividing or being divided into parts.
Balfour Declaration
A letter to the leader of the British Jewish community, for transmission to the Zionist Federation of Great Britain and Ireland.
Zionism
A movement to the development and protection of a Jewish nation in Israel.
Palestine Liberation Organization
Committed to a compromise which Israel exchange portions of the Occupied Territories.
Intifada
A Palestinian uprising against Israeli occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
