Sailed to Mexico and took over the Aztec empire, bringing gold back to Spain.

Sailed to Peru and took over the Incan Empire. Kidnapped the Emperor and ransomed him for a room full of gold. Then killed him.

Went looking for the fountain of youth, didn’t find it, but named and explored Florida.
Panfilo de Narvaez
Looked for wealth in southern U.S but found non and disappeared.
Esteban and Fray Marcos
Went looking for the “Seven Cities of Cibola” and reportedly found them.
Francisco de Coronado
Went looking for the,”Seven Cities of Cibola”, but found the Grand canyon instead.
Hernando de Soto
Explored the southern U.S and was the first explorer on the Mississippi River.
John Cabot
Explored Canada and New England, claiming that land for England.
Giovanni da Verrazano
Traveled all the way up the East coast from the Carolinas to Canada and mapped it.
Jacques Cartier
Found the Gulf of St. Lawrence and traveled up the St. Lawrence River to what is now Quebec and created a short-lived French settlement.
