A
  • they were already fighting a religious war
  • Phillip picked the wrong commander. Duke of Medina Sidonia, he was the richest man in Europe but he had no experience and he was forced to dirge job
  • they ignored an opportunity to attack when the tide was in the English Ships’ way
  • they were tightly packed in a crescent shape but if one boat turns, other boats would crash into each other

A

• they had two commanders, Lord Howard and Sir Francis Drake
•Lord Howard was Elizabeth’s cousin and had no experience
Sir Francis Drake had lots if experience and men loved him
• they split their ships, they had to go West so they could get behind the Spanish but they had to fight against the wind to surprise them from the back
• they fired canons continuously
• they stayed away from the Spanish ships and sailed in single file
• they set Spanish ships on fire and scared them

5) a person should not pray to saints. There should be no statues of saints in churches but people can celebrate saints days
6) services and the bible should be in English
7) a person is saved by faith but a peeps in with faith will do work because it pleases god
8) churches must be kept in good repair and clean. They can be decorated. There can be music
Priests should wear special robes
9) priests can marry but Elizabeth didn’t really approve of married Priests
