subjective
a person’s perspective (point of view),
feelings or thoughts.
opinion
What someone thinks, feels or believes
to be true.
tell
an archaeological mound site. A series
of settlements built over the top of
each other over time.
oral history
Stories from the past that have been
passed down by word of mouth.
timeline
a diagram using a scale that represents
period of time. A timeline is an
example of a number-line.
Prehistory:
Period of History before writing.
Anything that existed during that
period of time is known as prehistoric.
primary source
a source that was created during the
time in History that is being studied.
value (of source)
The information and evidence that a
source provides in an investigation.
Limitations (of sources):
The problems with a source that an
historian may encounter when trying to
gain information or evidence from a
source. Things that limit a source’s
value.
