era:
a long period of time, during which
fashions (ways of doing things) or
ideas stay the same.
B.C.:
Before Christ. Term use for the period
of time before the birth of Christ.
evidence:
information gathered from sources.
Facts used to support a conclusion.
bias:
information that is written from one
point of view and as a result is one-
sided, inaccurate or incomplete.
excavation:
the method used by archaeologists to
dig up remains of the past.

Before the Common Era. The time
before Christ’s birth.
fact:
something that is true, something that
actually exists or something that can
be proven or checked.
century:
measure of one hundred years of time
historian:
person who studies the past through
written records.
C.E.:
Common Era. The time since Christ’s
birth
