A

First the war with Parthia started and the empire had to move the army from the european frontier to face that threat. Germanic tribes noticed that absence and begun raiding Rome what started Marcomanic wars. When troops won in Parthia they brought a 15 years plague - most likely small pox that literally decimated the population (Aurelian Plague). Rebelion in Egypt where one Avidius Cassius declared himself an emperor receiving news that Marcus was about to die. Marcus Aurelius overcame his illness and was massing his armies to defeat him when one of Cassius’ centurions send the emperor his head - ending the rebelion.
