Herodotus is the Father of History and he was a Greek Historian famous for writing ‘The Historians’.

History is the story of Peoples lives from past times.

Chronology helps determine the contexts of a source and its author.
What does BC mean?
It means before Christ.
What does CE mean?
it means Common era
What does BCE mean?
it means before common era
What does AD mean?
it means anno domini
What is dating?
it is two kinds of dating: relative and absolute.
What is Relative dating?
relative dating provides the order of events in the past but does not give a precise year.
What is Absolute dating?
Absolute dating is a scientific and modern method of dating artefacts.
What is Dendrochronology?
It is Tree-ring dating.
Define source?
A written or no-written item that provides information about the past.
What is Heritage?
All of the things that we value from the past, including events, traditions, influences, places and experience.

It is someone trained to investigate and write about the past.
What is conservation?
The preservation and protection of artefacts or relics.
What is hypothesis?
A possible theory to explain what happened.
What is evidence?
Information found within a source that can be used to prove or disprove something.
What is Perspective?
A person’s point of view or attitude.
