Who found the oracle bone?

A

It was first discovered by local farmers during the Han Dynasty they did not realise what it was and reburied them in the ground.

In the 19th century the bones were again found by villagers digging up the fields they claimed them as dragon bones

In 1899 Wang Yirong a Chinese politician and scholar was the first to recognise them as Oracle Bones.

It is believed that Oracle bones belonged to the era of 1500-1000BC.

What was the process of binding her foot?

A

The toe nails were clipped followed by the soaking of feet in either a hot or cold mixture of ingredients ranging from various herbs and nuts followed by less desirable liquids such as urine and warm animal blood, the foot is then massaged and doused with alum, afterwards the toes are broken and folded under the sole, the big toes are folded on the side the feet are wrapped using a 10*2 cotton or silk bandage the bandage is changed every two days to allow washing and manicuring to stop infections, every day the bandage goes back on tighter eventually the arch of the foot is broken the foot is pulled straight in line with the leg gradually the shoe size gets smaller. This process is repeated every 10 years.
