A

Americans were hungry for freedom, while french were hungry for food. The american revolution was much less violent however.

A

A

The CC had to be control of gov .There are few priests that readily took oaths, most saw it as the violation to the religious principle. Revolts came, Persecution began and french appointed new clergy.

A

Joseph II also became involved in the planning of a rescue attempt, but plans failed due to Marie Antoinette’s refusal to leave her children behind and Louis XVI’s reluctance to become a fugitive king.

A

The interim constitution that was developed in 1791 by the National Assembly that replaced the abslolute monarchy with a limited monarchy. It established the National Convention. All male citizens got the right to vote, not just those who owned property.

Some people did have a desire more for reform, yes, and were scared of anarchy, but the majority rejected monarchy

A

Initially they sympathized with the revolution, tthey too had a revolution, but as the reign of terror came and violence spurred, britian was suprised and backlashed.

A

The Estates-General was a representative assembly (that louis made bc. of the finanical crisis and the discontent of population) that was made of three estates of france, the first being clergy, second being nobility and third being commoners (including b and p)

A

1793 Louis XVI was then executed by guillotine in front of a large crowd of onlookers, marking the culmination of the revolution’s radical phase and the end of the monarchy in France.
