Define “Stereotype”
A Stereotype is your perception on an image or idea on someone or something based on your bias.
What are some Black Stereotypes ?
Brute - A savagely violent person or animal
Primitive - Haven’t evolved or developed socially , economically and physically.
What are some of the Hamitic Hypothesis ?
Everything of value, ever found in African was brought there by Hamites allegedly a branch of the Caucasian race.
Hamites were believed to be “dark skin Caucasian’s”
What are some Hamitic Theories
Hamites were black savages “natural slaves.”
How were the streotypes and Hamitic Hypothesis used to justify the mistreatment of Black People
They were used as a tactic by giving a perception from your bias of what people were normalized as and how they were classified which made people think they were inferior
