Germany was not allowed to participate, and the focus was on punishingGermany.
The Treaty of Versailles was signed by the Allies and Germany on 28 June 1919.
Germany was forced to sign, under threat of the resumption of war.
The Germans referred to the Treaty as adiktat(imposed peace).

What were the main treaty points?

A

“BRAT”
-Blame: had to accept blame of causing losses of the war
-Reparations: had to pay 6.6 billion pounds for damages
-Armed forces: forbidden to have submarines or air force, navy reduced to six battleships, army limited to 100,000 men and conscription banned, Germany troops not allowed in Rhineland
-Territory: Forbidden to unite with Austria, lost territory
