  • He was a great spokesman that inspired many people
  • He was the leader of the SCLC and did many good things
  • He used non violent tactics to make him look good in the eyes of the media and when the white people were violent, it made them look like the bad guys

A

She was a women that refused to give her seat up for a white man on a bus and got arrested and was the cause of starting the Montgomery bus boycott

Little Rock Nine

A
  • It was a school that was about to become integrated
  • 25 students were chosen to come to little rock nine
  • white people did not like the idea of this so they threatened families and only 9 students remained willing to go to the school
  • They were told not to walk to school
  • They got spat on and abused by many of the local people
  • Orval Faubus - sent in 1000 ? state troops to keep the peace but it did quite the opposite
  • ## President Eisenhower did not like this idea and ordered for him to stop.
