Describe how immunohistochemical stains work

A
  • One antibody (rabbit antigen) added to detect the antigen

- A second antibody (goat anti-rabbit) which binds to constant region of the antigen and has fluorescent tag

  • CD45 lymphoid marker
  • Liver metastasis can be identified by immunohistochemical stain.
  • CK7 positive CK20 negative colorectal cancer
