Canine, Eosinophil
What is this cell and origin of species, also what is this usually associated with?

Canine plasma cell, Usually associated with inflammation and paired with lymphocytes

Feline neutrophil
Is this inflammation or a tumour, why?
https://s3.amazonaws.com/brainscape-prod/system/cm/173/063/511/q_image_thumb.png?1450361256

Tumour. Sheets of round cells indicative of mast cell tumour. Quite pleomorphic also indicating mid graded tumour. Low mitotic index.
Is this inflammation or a tumour, why?

Tumour, there are a lot of MNGCs. Although there is haemorrhage it is not always an indicator of inflammation. There is slight inflammation with the eosinophils but most cells are bundling showing a benign tumour. This was taken in the gingiva,
Name the cells in the figure and where the organ of origin is?
https://s3.amazonaws.com/brainscape-prod/system/cm/173/064/743/q_image_thumb.png?1450361985

Top left: Portal vein
Bottom left: Bile duct
Bottom right: Hepatic artery
Can you draw the simple liver system, also which way the blood drains and where hte portal triads are located? and more importantly the shape?

Name the cells in the figure and the organ?

From top to bottom:
- Stratum corneau
- Epidermis
- Papillary dermis
- Reticular dermis
- Hypodermis
What is this, where is it located and what are the cells that are around it?
https://s3.amazonaws.com/brainscape-prod/system/cm/173/069/652/q_image_thumb.png?1450363810

Hair follicle, located in the hypodermis. The cells that are around it are mainly lipids and there are some sebaceous glands.
Name the cells in the figure and the organ, also distinguishing bronchi apart from vessels??

Lungs from bottom to top:
- Visceral Pleura
- Alveolus
- Artery
- Small bronchus
Look for cartillage for the bronchus and endothelium for vessels. Bronchus is epithelium.
Distinguish the 7 different types of epithelium?
https://s3.amazonaws.com/brainscape-prod/system/cm/173/072/872/a_image_thumb.png?1450364660

What other types of cells line different vessels?
- Heart
- Small intestines
- Large intestines
- Vein
- Lungs (bronchioles etc.)
Heart- Endocardium (Endothelium)
Small intestines- Epithelium (simple columnar)
Large intestines- Epithelium (simple columnar)
Vein- Endothelium
Lungs- Epithelium (pseudostratified)
Describe the spleen and the usual findings in the spleen?

How can we tell if the muscle is a heart muscle or normal muscle?
Cardiac muscle- Intercalated disc parallel
Non cardiac muscle- streams nucleus middle
skeletal muscle- nucleus on the outer edge
