What is your diagnosis?
Case:
- 4 year old dsh cat
- Presented for lethargy and vomiting
- anuric
- elevated urea and creatinine
- at postmortem the kidneys are markedly swollen

-Ethylene glycol toxicity
Crystals are calcium oxalate and on inspection or pm of the kidneys you would expect tubular necrosis. Presenting the elevated levels of urea and creatinine.
What is your diagnosis?
What further staining could be used to confirm your diagnosis?

- Pulmonary aspergillosis. The sporadic pattern seen with this fungus and further staining would be GMC, grocotts methanamine silver stain.

What is a clear differential that would link in with the history?
Case:
- 4 Bulldog puppies
- 7 weeks old
- Acute death
Clear fibrin thrombi in the glomeruli signalling scarring. Inclusion bodies as well and intralobular necrosis in the liver. Overall with young puppies most likely to be Canine herpes virus.
