What is outlined in the Hippocratic oath?
A
- share knowledge ‘without fee or contract’ to close doctors only
- Help the sick to the best of your abilities and don’t harm anyone
- Not kill anyone if asked/ not perform abortions
- You will leave surgical procedures to those qualified
- You will not have sexual contacts with anyone (patients)
- Maintain confidentiality in everything you do

- You will do no harm (non maleficence) as seen in points (2,3,5)
- You will help the sick (Beneficence) as seen in point 2
- Duty of confidentiality as seen in point 6

A
Point 3 you will not kill anyone/ not perform abortions
Euthanasia is illegal in UK
Abortion is legal (but doctors can opt out of performing them/ giving contraception based on moral grounds)
