Insertion: lesser trochanter
Action: hip flexion
Innervation: femoral nerve L2-L3
Sartorius
Origins: ASIS
Insertions: proximal medial surface of the tibia
Action: flexes, abducts, laterally rotates the thigh and medically rotates the flexed knee
Innervation: femoral nerve L2-L3
Iliacus
Origin: Anterior Iliac fossa
Insertion: lesser trochanter
Action: hip flexion
Innervation: femoral nerve
Pectineus
Origin: superior pubic Ramus
Insertion: lesser trochanter to the linea aspera
Action: flexes and addicts the thigh
Innervation: femoral nerve L2-L4
Rectus femoris
Origin: long head AIIS
short head ilium above acetabulum
Insertion: quadriceps tendon of the patella
Action: extends the knee and flexes the hip
Innervation: L2-L4 femoral nerve
Gracilis
Origin: inferior Ramus of the pubis
Insertion: upper aspect of medial shaft of tibia
Action: medial rotation, addicts the hip, flexes and medial rotation of the knee
Innervation: obturator nerve L3-L4
