What are the attachments of biceps femoris?
Origin: The sacrotuberous ligament and the ischiatic tuberosity
Insertion: By the fascia lata and the crural fascia it attaches to the patella the patellar ligament, and the and the cranial border of the tibia. By the means of the CCT it attaches to the tuber calcanei.
What are the attachments of the semitendinosus?
Origin: The ischiatic tuberosity
Insertion: The medial tibia and the tuber calcanei by crural fascia.
What are the attachments of the semimembranosus?
Origin: The ischiatic tuberosity
Insertion: Distal medial lip of the caudal rough surface of the femur, as well as the medial condyle on the tibia.
What nerve innervates the caudal thigh muscles?
Sciatic n.
What are the attachments of the middle gluteal muscle?
Origin: The crest and gluteal surface of the ilium
Insertion: The greater trochanter of the femur
Innervation: Cranial gluteal n.
