1 Rule
Hilsverb - Haben, Sein or Werden
they help form the future, passive or subj tense of the sentence
haben, sein, werden are the first verb plus a hils verb at the end

Wir werden es kaufen. = We will buy it.
Der Brief wird geschrieben. = The letter was written
Was würden Sie tun? = What is she to do?

haben is always with geVERB to mean the past tense
sein is talking about movement
werden is talking about becoming, wanting, etc
notice when translating it is in english together with the first verb

Ich habe zwei Jahre gelernt. = I have 2 yrs learnt.
Ich bin eine Woche fahren. = I’m driving one week.
Ich werde für 1 Woche gehen. = I will go for one week.
