Bái Jí

English translation:
Actions: Restrains leakage of blood and stops bleeding: mainly for bleeding from the Lungs and Stomach, which includes vomiting blood, coughing blood, and nosebleed. Also for bleeding associated with traumatic injury, usually applied locally. (Bleeding due to lung cancer or stomach due to ulcers)
Reduce swelling and generate flesh: applied topically for sores, ulcers, and chapped skin. It can be used whether the sore has ulcerated, as it reduces the swelling of sores and helps accelerate the healing of ulcers. Especially useful for chronic, nonhealing sores.
Zōng lú pí
Nature: bitter, astringent, neutral
Enters: Liver, Large Intestine, Lung
Pharmaceutical Name: Trachycarpi petiolus
English translation: Aged Trachycarpus Stipule Fiber
Actions: Restrains and inhibits bleeding
Indications:
• Binds and stops bleeding: for coughing or spitting of blood, nosebleed, blood in stools, and excessive uterine bleeding.
Xuè yú tàn
Nature: bitter, neutral
Enters: Heart, Liver, Kidney
Pharmaceutical Name: Crinis carbonisatus (charred human hair)
English translation: Charred surplus of the blood
Actions: Stops bleeding, facilitates the water pathways, reduces stasis
Indications:
• Restrains leakage of blood and stops bleeding: for many (any kind of bleeding) kinds of bleeding, especially uterine bleeding and nose bleed.
Promotes urination: for painful urinary dribbling, especially with blood in the urine.
Generates flesh and resolves sores: used topically for sores or burns that have already ulcerated.
Ŏu Jié (O G-et)

Pharmaceutical Name: Nelumbinis Nodus rhizomatis
English translation: Fresh lotus nodes or Charred lotus nodes
Actions: Stops bleeding by astringing; dispels blood stasis
Indications:
• Stops bleeding: used for many types of bleeding because, while it is astringent, it also reduces stasis. Most often used for bleeding associated with heat in the Lungs or Stomach with vomiting or coughing of blood. Also for chronic bleeding when combined with other appropriate substances. (Bleeding of Lungs and Stomach)
Xiān hè cǎo (Shen who chow)
Nature: bitter, astringent, neutral
Enters: Lung, Liver, Spleen
Pharmaceutical Name: Agrimoniae Herba
English translation: Immortal crane herb
Indications: Restrains leakage of blood and stops any kind of bleeding (vomiting blood, coughing blood, nose bleed, bleeding gums, blood in the urine, or uterine bleeding) It can be used for bleeding due to heat, cold, excess or deficiency.
Alleviates diarrhea and dysenteric disorders: for chronic problems, as this herb has a restraining nature.
Kills parasites for trichomonas vaginitis and tapeworm, as well as malarial disorders. Used topically for trichomonas vaginitis.
Actions: Stops bleeding and diarrhea by astringing; kills parasites.
