Dose reductions for CrCl less than 50
BBW for lactic acidosis and HBV exacerbation upon discontinuation

Additional BBW against use of Epivir HBV for treatment of HIV (contains lower dose of lamivudine)
Adefovir BBW
Additional BBW for inducing HIV resistance in undiagnosed HIV patients
Special Safety/SE/Monitorin
Adefovir - use caution in patients with renal impairment
tenofovir - falcon syndrome, renal insuff, osteomalacia and decrease bone density
entecavir - take on an empty stomach!!!!
telbivudine - monitor CPK
Interferon alfa
Indicated for treatment of HBV AND HCV
Interferon alfa Safety SE and Monitorin
BBW - may cause or exacerbate autoimmune disorders, infectious disorders, ischemic and hemorrhagic CVD events. Combo treatment with ribavirin may cause birth defects and hemolytic anemia
SE include flu like sx (can pre treat with APAP and antihistamine) CNS effects (fatigue, anxiety, depression), LFT elevation, myelosuppresion and alopecia
