  • Malignancy - primary or secondary - must look for clues clinically in the exam
  • Alcoholic hepatitis
  • Infective hepatitis
  • Budd Chiari
  • Congestion from fluid overload (CCF)

Nodular regenerative hyperplasia - affects elderly, associated with autoimmune disease

Sickle cell crisis - Sickle thrombosis causes sinusoidal obstruction
