Q

What did Henry do to fund wars?

A

Debased the coinage = reduced the silver content in the coins and re-minted the coinage, increasing the amount of cheaper metals in it. This meant that more coins could be minted using the same amount of silver.

This led to people losing trust in the coinage and so putting up prices so that they got the same amount of silver, thus causing inflation.
