A
- the duketti were demoted and lost their lands, but kept their previous lands and titles
- got rid of the title of marquis and the title of duke was restricted to the royal family
- rebels were condemned as traitors

A
- Henry only made three new peers and these were all members of the house of Lancaster
- his eldest son was made prince of Wales, duke of Cornwall and Earl of Chester
- his youngest son was made duke of Clarence and Earl of Arudnel
- wanted to balance out the influence of Percies and Arundels

- Henry’s forces defeated the discontented Percies at Shrewsbury 1403, and received submission from the duke of Northumberland
- Archbishop of York declared opposition to the Lancastrian rule, was executed in 1405
- defeated duke of Northumberland (Percy) at Bramham Moor in 1408
