IgA-mediated generalised vasculitis of small vessels of skin, GI tract, kidneys and joints

how does it clinically present?
A
colicky abdominal pain
purpuric rash over buttocks and lower limbs
haematuria (blood in urine)
IgA nephropathy

what test should always be done and why?
A
urine dipstick to check for renal involvement

how is it managed?
A
usually self-limiting
monitor urinalysis and BP due to risk of renal failure
