Etiology
The cause(s) of disease.
Health

Iatrogenic
Caused inadvertently by medical treatment.
Idiopathic
No known cause.
Illness
The state of being in an unhealthy condition.
Incidence
The rate of occurrence of new cases of a disease in a population over time.
Natural History of Disease
The incidence, etiology, and pathogenesis of a disease.
Pathogenesis
The process(es) by which a disease occurs and progresses.
Prognosis
The most likely course and outcome of a disease.
Signs
Objectively observable findings caused by a disease.
Symptoms
Subjective elements of a disease experienced by the patient.
DALY
Disability Adjusted Life Year
A summary measure of not only the total number of lives lost but also an estimate of the time and extent of disability caused.
