Bradycardia
A slower than normal heartrate
Tachycardia
Faster than normal heartrate
Artificial pacemaker
A machine that uses electrical impulses o regulate the rhythm of a heart and reproduce it
atrial fibrillation
When a persons heart is beating at a rapid pace that isn’t the normal pulse
Normal Sinus Rhythm
The rhythm of a healthy heart
Ventricular fibrillation
A type of arythmia, or irregular heartbeat, affects your hearts ventricles
Purkinje Fibers
specialized conducting fibers composed of electrically excitable cells.
Sinoatrial Node
A small body of specialized muscle fibers, located in the right atrium of the heart.
Electrocardiogram
Records the electrical signals from the heart to check for different heat conditions
Ectopic focus
Abnormal pacemaker sits within the heart (outside of the SA node) that displays automatically
Bundle of his
An elongated segment connecting the Av node and the left and right bundle branch’s of the septal.
Bundle branchs
A part of the electrical system of the heart that controls the heartbeat
AV node
The second of several components of the cardiac conduction system
Automatic nervous systems
A component of the peripheral nervous system that regulates involuntary physiologic processes
