Diastolic and continuous– No, usually pathologic. should eval further with echo.
Mid-systolic can be ok if in otherwise asymptomatic young adult

A

early, gradually decreasing (decrescendo) diastolic murmur, begins immediately after A2 (aortic component of S2).
- high pitched
blowing
best heard at LSB 3-4th intercostal space with pt sitting up and leaning fwd while holding breath in full expiration!
