digoxin toxicity
A
nausea, vom, decreased appetite, confusion, weakness. visual sx (scotomata, blurred vision, coor change, blindness)

what can incite dig toxicity?
A
viral illness/excessive diuretic use –> volume depletion or renal inj or hypokalemia (assoc with loop diuretic use and increases pts susceptibility to dig)–> increased levels of dig (even people chronically on dig can get toxicity)

when is dig usually used?
A
afib or heart failure
